►Feed rate and cutting depth for turning nylon parts
Although increasing the feed rate and cutting depth can shorten the processing time, improve heat dissipation, and the reduction in cutting temperature and tool durability is not significant, and increase productivity, it will significantly increase the cutting force (doubling the feed rate will increase the cutting force by approximately 70% to 80%). Doubling the cutting depth (almost doubling the cutting force) can easily cause deformation of CNC Machining plastic,affecting quality or even scrapping. Moreover, the surface roughness increases with the increase of feed rate. Therefore, an appropriate feed rate and cutting depth should be selected.
